My Christmas LOTD + Tutorial

Merry Christmas!! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas this year. As for me, Christmas Eve was horrid – I was down with a terrible migraine that cuffed me to my bed a good half of the evening. Thank goodness my painkiller worked in time and got me up and well for the countdown to Christmas :)

Spent a quiet Christmas this year with hubby and my dog Juno at home this year apart from our tradition (well this is only year 2!) Christmas Dinner at Brunch at Pan Pacific Hotel. I was in a filming mood and decided to film a tutorial of the look I was wearing to dinner using some of my latest acquired products – Soleil De Tan Chanel, MAC Studio Sculpt Foundation and MUFE HD Invisible Cover Concealer.

I will probably do a separate post with more detaile reviews of these products. Here are some pictures taken during the process.

Blending foundation in with Sigma Round Kabuki F82

Blending foundation in with Sigma Round Kabuki F82

The MAC Studio Sculpt Foundation in NC30 together with the Sigma Round Kabuki F82 Brush is the bomb! They create the most flawless looking canvas for me to work with. You can also dip the brush in the foundation at the back of your hands and then blending it all over. But I prefer dabbing the foundation evenly over my face and buffing the brush over the foundation in circular motions. I find that there’s less wastage of product this way as the depth of the foundation “dots” on my face are not deep as they would be on the back of my hand. This way, it doesn’t sink too deep into the brush, if that makes sense at all.

As always, I like to mix my concealer with an under-eye highlighter. For this look, I used my new MUFE HD Invisible Cover Concealer along with my YSL Touche Eclat. Instead of using my fingers as I always do to blend in my concealer, I used the Sigma Precision Angled Brush in P84. I never thought I could ever blend concealer without streaking until I found this brush. Awesomeness!!!

Another new love of mine lately has been my Soleil De Tan Chanel cream bronzer. There isn’t any choice with colors as it only comes in one single shade but I am really loving it. I have always had powder bronzers but never really took to loving or even using them. Perhaps it was because I don’t have too much oil on my skin, thus piling on too many powdery products isn’t the best choice for me. This cream bronzer is perfect so far, especially when used along with my Sigma F82 brush or MAC 109 brush.

It is surprisingly easy to blend and works really well to add dimension to my face – Yup, i especially need that to slim down my chubby face :(

Check out the flawless finish of foundation, concealer and bronzer below! (No touch-ups or edits done to the picture)

Wish I could find a way to get rid of that distinct green vein on the side of my chin…..

Finally, here are some pictures of the finished look and some shots from dinner. Enjoy…

Do pardon the quality – taken with the iPhone in low light.

After dinner and walking along Orchard road. Nose was a little shiny but other than that, the rest of the makeup held up really well with no touch-ups except for some gloss.
